Since 2018, the Moazzma Hunain Foundation has supported humanitarian and community initiatives across Pakistan, Africa, and the United States. Our work has focused on access to clean water, support for orphans, widows, single mothers, and food assistance, faith based giving, environmental initiatives, and strengthening the communities we serve.
Clean Water & Sustainable Access
Clean water has remained at the heart of our impact. Through partnerships with trusted organizations, we have funded water wells, an RO filtration plant, and drinking water chillers and coolers serving communities across Pakistan and Africa.
Projects have included water wells outside of mosques, senior citizen homes, and communities in Mali, Karachi and Swabi, an RO plant serving communities in Lahore, drinking water systems across Karachi, Lahore, Sukkur, and Nawabshah, and a water well serving more than 1,000 people in Kakora Village, Uganda.
Supporting Children, Orphans & Widows
Our humanitarian work in Uganda has included Iftar meals for hundreds of orphaned children, Eid celebrations and gifts for orphans, meals for widows, and Quran distributions to madrasas and mosques.
These initiatives are centered around more than providing assistance. They are about creating moments of dignity, care, community, and joy for those who need them most.
Community & Environmental Giving
Our work has also included tree planting initiatives and support for local community institutions, including contributions within our home community in Texas.
Every initiative may look different, but the purpose remains the same: to serve with compassion and create impact that reaches beyond a single moment.
CURRENT INITIATIVES
When doing the right thing comes with an unexpected cost, compassion matters.
Ehsanullah is a ride hailing driver in Karachi who became connected to the widely reported case of Mir Raza Ali, a young businessman who went missing on July 28, 2026 and was later found deceased. Ehsanullah was the driver who transported Mir Raza to his last known location in Gulistan e Jauhar in the early hours of July 28. He later provided information about the journey and cooperated with Mir Raza’s family and the investigation.
As the case received widespread public attention, Ehsanullah’s own life was significantly affected. He told the judicial commission investigating Mir Raza’s death that he had lost his housing and access to the vehicle he had been using to earn his livelihood. The commission subsequently directed the investigating officer to contact his landlord and the ride hailing company to help address his housing and livelihood situation, noting that Ehsanullah was not a suspect and had cooperated with the investigation. Despite this, he was not able to get his job back and was evicted from his home.
After learning about the hardship Ehsanullah and his family were facing, the Moazzma Hunain Foundation stepped in to provide immediate assistance. The Foundation helped cover his past due and current rent of his family home in Quetta, along with medical expenses for his parents and family, helping relieve some of the financial pressure they were experiencing.
Our commitment is not limited to one moment of assistance. The Moazzma Hunain Foundation will continue to support Ehsanullah and his family as they work toward stability and rebuilding their lives.
